Bespoke PHITS Orthoses / Insoles

Individually prescribed insoles, informed by your assessment and the way you move.

What Are Bespoke PHITS Insoles?

PHITS orthoses are custom 3D-printed insoles prescribed to fit your clinical needs. They are worn inside suitable footwear and designed to influence support and pressure distribution during everyday movement.

Your prescription is informed by an assessment and Footscan pressure measurements, rather than foot shape alone. The design also takes account of your footwear, activities and goals.

Who Might Benefit?

  • Selected Heel Or Arch Pain
  • Forefoot Loading Problems
  • Foot And Ankle Support Needs
  • Symptoms During Work Or Long Standing
  • Walking And Hobby-Related Discomfort
  • Selected Running And Sports Problems

Insoles are not essential for every patient and cannot guarantee pain relief or prevent all injuries. We explain whether they are appropriate and how they fit with your wider treatment plan.

The Measurements Behind Your Insoles

The video shows the Footscan assessment stage of the PHITS process. Standing and walking measurements help us understand how you load your feet.

Tom combines these measurements with your examination, footwear and activity needs to prescribe your insoles. Where PHITS insoles are appropriate, they are then 3D printed to the agreed design and checked at your fitting appointment.

From Pressure Data To Your Prescription

This is the analysis stage, before an insole is designed. The pressure maps and graphs help Tom review loading patterns. Where insoles are suitable, these findings inform the PHITS prescription alongside your clinical assessment, footwear and activities.

The recording shows example measurements, not a before-and-after result or a prediction of your treatment outcome.

From Assessment To Fitting

  1. Understand Your Needs: We discuss symptoms, examine your feet and consider the shoes you use for work, sport and everyday life.
  2. Measure Your Movement: Standing and walking measurements on the Materialise Footscan plate show how pressure is distributed beneath your feet.
  3. Create Your Prescription: We interpret the measurements alongside the clinical findings and specify your PHITS design.
  4. Manufacture: Your bespoke insoles are 3D printed to the agreed prescription.
  5. Fit And Explain: When they arrive, you return for fitting. We check them in your footwear and explain how to introduce them gradually.

Using Your Insoles

Bring the shoes you intend to wear them in so we can check the available space. Not every insole fits every shoe. We will discuss footwear compatibility before ordering and provide advice on care and adapting to the support.

Contact us if you experience persistent discomfort, rubbing or pressure rather than continuing to push through it. We can review the fit and your response.

What Is Included?

The £350 package includes gait analysis, bespoke PHITS insoles and fitting when they arrive. Delivery timing will be discussed when ordering.
